What We Do

Healing Through Horses: A Transformative Path to Recovery
Equine assisted recovery coaching is a powerful and transformative approach to healing from addiction. By engaging with horses, individuals are provided with a unique therapeutic experience that develops emotional growth, self-awareness, and personal recovery. Horses, with their natural ability to mirror human emotions, offer a non-judgmental presence that encourages honest reflection and connection.
In equine assisted recovery coaching sessions, clients engage in activities with the horses that foster connection, improve communication, and build confidence through mindful interactions. These experiences help clients restore trust, cultivate patience, and enhance emotional regulation. Which are key components in overcoming addiction. As horses naturally live in the present moment, they encourage clients to do the same, helping to alleviate the anxiety and depression often tied to recovery.
Because horses are sensitive to body language and emotional energy, they reflect a person’s inner state, offering immediate feedback. This helps clients identify and address underlying emotional wounds, negative patterns, and behaviors related to their addiction. By learning to communicate with the horses in a calm, grounded, and assertive manner, clients practice key recovery principles such as mindfulness, boundary-setting, and emotional management. Equine assisted recovery coaching offers a holistic and experiential way to support sobriety, helping clients rebuild their self-esteem, reconnect with their authentic selves, and strengthen their commitment to recovery.

PERSONALIZED RECOVERY & A LASTING LEGACY
We offer both group and individual sessions, tailored to meet your needs. Serenity Stables also provides a unique 4-week program that offers participants an immersive experience. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate and the opportunity to paint a board of their choice on the property, leaving a lasting mark and always having a place at Serenity Stables. This heartfelt tradition inspired the name "A Fence of Recovery."

What is EAC (Equine Assisted Coaching)
Equine Assisted Coaching is a modality that involves activities such as grooming, haltering, leading, observing a horse or horses while engaging with a coach. It promotes physical and emotional growth and can offer trans-formative results for persons suffering from anxiety and depression. Clients can take Wisdom from the Herd and apply this to their everyday life. Horses live in the present moment and allow us to do the same in their presence.

Magic behind the Science
This is where science meets spirituality! What we are dealing with is Heart Energy. Horses help humans heal and there are physiological reasons for this. The heart gives off 60 times more electromagnetic energy than the brain. The heart has over 40,000 sensory neurons that learn, think, feel, and remember. The heart is giving more information to the brain, than the brain is to the heart. Since a horse’s heart is the size of a football, their energy field is much larger than ours and stronger. When the horse and human biofield converge the horse picks up the frequency’s coming from the human heart. Humans heart rate is anywhere between 60-80 beats per minute. Horses heart rate is anywhere between 40-60 beats per minute. When we get into their energy field it co-regulates ours, bringing our heart rate and blood pressure down.
